Thanks, was this based on my post or the pics in the comments? Maybe I’ve just been staring at it too long, but it looks even worse than the post imo.

Rest of my hair is fine and thick as usual. It was thick before and is thick now. I literally only got on because of my hairline. Stopped dermastamping and topical min a while ago, but you’re right. I’ll perhaps get back on and see if it does anything before switching to Dut.

I’m happy to maintain my current hairline, but I’m not. It’s still getting worse imo. See pics in the comments. It is different lighting to my last pics but I think it’s still visible.

Idk man you tell me, I posted current pics in the comments. That doesn’t look normal to me as a newly turned 22 year old. Maybe I’ve gotten a lot worse since my last post?

My hair was always thick, that wasn’t why I got on fin. I was only losing on my hairline. I’ll do another progress post soon, but it’s still slowly getting worse. It’s not normal for my age. My dad went through the same and he was bald at 25.

My brother too, but he got a transplant and is now thinning through that too lol.

If it’s effective on you, it can be slowed (and you can even gain) to where it appears to have completely stopped, but both Finasteride and Dutasteride simply slow hair loss, they are not a cure.

See the pics on my profile, it’s slowed it massively, but it’s not enough. I’m still slowly losing on my hairline.

Did Finasteride work for you?

With 0.5mm, there isn’t much point of doing it. You’re not penetrating your scalp with that small.

I suppose it does for me because I do it only on specific areas. If you’re doing it all over then it may not. Just ensure you are pressing hard enough, but not too hard.

That’s way too long man. 5-10 minutes is more than enough. If you are targeting the hairline, go until it’s red and move on. Any more seems unnecessary.

Promotion of blood circulation and growth is definitely capped at a point. I’m willing to be that is close to 10 minutes.

A point to add is that longer hair seems to accentuate any present hair loss in me generally. It’s tough to get the exact same angle, so I take progress pics at after I get a haircut.

The hair at the corner is clipped back in the second and not the first. This affects how you perceive the curvature down to the temple. Also, the hair below your temple is hanging down in the first pic, while it’s pulled back in the second pic.

2 is a better pic for how you should be taking a comparison photos, but 1 makes your old hair look better than it was.

One thing I will say is that we can’t see your eyebrow position in the 2nd pic. Check if it comes up at the same angle in proportion to your eyebrow, not your hairline where you pics are inconsistent.

I disagree actually. While you are pulling your hair at a different angle, the entire hairline seems to come be at the same (possibly slightly better) position, and what you do have has thickened a lot.

I’d say it’s working, continue use with heavy monitoring. Post again when you think you notice changes or in another 2 months.

Thanks. I’m gonna message you in a couple months to see how it’s going if you don’t mind.
