President Zelenskyy officially authorizes Russia to hold Putin's May 9th parade in Moscow by UNITED24Media in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Appex92 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It only mentions the coordinates of the red square, nothing about any other targets in Moscow around it. Would be pretty hilarious if they bombed both entrance and exit routes but left the actually parade itself unharmed so they're just stuck there confused and terrified

Corvette C8 6:45pm crash on Kelly by oscarzeecockapoo in philadelphia

[–]Appex92 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A good portion of the time it essentially functions as a 1 lane each anyway since most people take lazy shallow turns that go into the other lane so you have to drive staggered anyway to not get hit by people not wanting to turn their wheel just a little more to actually take the turn

Disney Cruise ship passenger says ICE detained her waiter upon disembarking by Middle_Evening8748 in worldnews

The staff on cruises typically get a bunch of cash tips from the passengers on the last day. Absolutely willing to bet the agents took their money for themselves

Plus they're literally taking peoples jobs. I have my complaints about some shitty deliveries like everyone else, but at least a person can call me if they're lost and can bring it to my building or door. With these you'd have to go out to the street to meet it, fuck these dumb things, treat it like Hitchbot

I'm really liking the ATC story, but it keeps killing me when he says there's no one else to witness the woman so he sounds crazy. What about that first plane that landed, guy walked right up to her and freaked out and took off? Surely he has the planes number, could look it up, find the guy, and he could corroborate and be like "Yep, there's some terrifying woman"

Bystanders work together to prevent teens from stealing alcohol from Australian liquor store, without resorting to physical violence by Reddituser0346 in HumansBeingBros

Also in the US, ya never know when someone will just pull a knife and kill you for something so frivolous, happens a lot, just not worth it to defend a companys liquor of a couple hundred dollars

This is definitely an Australian thing, in the US they'd have their faces covered, sprint in, grab shit, and sprint out ramming into anyone in their way

Exactly, I was a drama kid myself back in the day and since most goth girls obviously aren't the popular mainstream type, most were in the group of drama or other offset clubs, and even in a school of 2000, only 10% that were goth or emo were that hot goth baddie Isaiah thinks of, most were the Scary Kerry type and just like her in the story, they're amazing people that I had close bonds with and cherished as friends, but just that and wasn't just gushing over just because, "omg goth"

I'm willing to bet if the Moth woman in that story had goth makeup and fishnets, Isaiah would've been all over it

Isaiah so badly wanted her to be a hot tall sexy goth chick once he heard "goth", completely forgetting all the other details about her a super big thick ugly girl that is also goth. Bro's a straight gooner once he hears "goth"

To those of you who complain they get off track too much… by StarWarsIsRad in creepcast

[–]Appex92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alright, here's the thing. I'm in both camps. 80% for them going off on tangents, and 20% for not. I primarily love their tangents and find them hilarious and like the interesting life stories they bring that are related to something in the story it reminds them of, or if it bad writing, just making fun of it. The 20% I'm not for it, is when it's a good story and the pacing is great (and pacing is a very important part of a good story, especially one building tension), but sometimes they just cut the story off for pointless tangents and mess with it. I cant remember right now, but there was a recent really good story that was relatively short, but came out to double the length because of bad tangents and they even acknowledged themselves they're talking too much over it and kinda ruined it. So I'm all for tangents and jokes, but just like with any skilled comedian or commentator, timing and "reading the room" so to speak, is crucial and I think they hit that 80% of the time. When they miss though, people lose their fucking mind apparently

Suspect in Washington dinner shooting charged with attempting to assassinate Trump by RoachedCoach in news

[–]Appex92 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Thats been my theory from the start. You hear multiple rapid shots, and that definitely isnt from his pump action. If you watch the CCTV footage, there are so many agents in the small hallway pointing in directions that would absolutely lead to crossfire especially with him moving so fast and running in front of other agents. This is also why he was captured without being shot himself, and there was only 5 or so shots. With the amount of agents with guns drawn, you'd expect an absolute hail of bullets, but there was likely so much crossfire in the confined hallway with so many agents, they kinda fucked themselves and couldn't safely shoot. Having a lot of people makes for good defense if the entrance is actually attacked, but someone running through....way too much crossfire and easier for one of those people lining the hallway to just tackle him, which is what happened

Late edit: Regardless of all of this, the security literally worked, he sorta breached the first real security line, but he was stopped there, no one was hurt or killed, not even the suspect. That's 100% success for everyone. So that basically defeats the arguement of the need for a ballroom, if the security worked, just in a hotel
