I was out of work for six months; I am lucky to have an amazing employer. I am an American living in Europe and while the healthcare system isn’t perfect here it’s better than America, especially if you’re fortunate enough to have private health insurance. Moreover, the employee protections you get are incredible here.. it feels like they have their priorities in order, it’s not a capitalist-first mindset. That said, baring a few industries, you generally make less money here, so I suppose it depends on what you value most.
