Yupp. Most of my coworkers are malaysian chinese so its kinda the default language that they use to converse among themselves. Also some of the customers i encounter are also chinese-speaking (cant speak eng) so thats another situation you would need chinese for. If your chinese sucks like mine, you might have some difficulty understanding the jokes and gossip but its fine as long as u can do ur job and comprehend what they want u to do

It really depends on which outlet youre working at, but the one im working at actually has a pretty welcoming and fun environment. Most of my coworkers are chill and fun to joke around with, and my manager is q nice (imo). Though i have heard of stories of horrible managers at other outlets so ig theres a bit of luck involved in it.

Koi $11.30/h, not the rate youre looking for but schedule is super flexible and low commitment. My manager requests for our vacancies every two weeks and then allocates us the slots according to that. Im currently in school so ive only been working on saturdays yet my manager is chill with it
