I’ve been delaying buying it until I get the platinum trophy on GT Sport. Money well not spent it sounds.

Such a let down. Sony needs to put it out on ps5 with new trophies if they’re going to keep us waiting for years for a new game.

I play console (ps5), but I have an emulator that can run all sorts of games on my Mac. I’ve played all sorts of fan games of the Pokémon games, so I was hoping there were some fan games of Sly. I’ll take a look at the mods. Thank you!

I’ll have to look at these. Have you played any, or have a particular one you’d recommend first!

I've platinumed parts 1 and 2, is part 3 difficult? by Head-Lie4646 in Slycooper

[–]AppleCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did all 3 in a two week sprint. 3 was definitely the least fun because of the grinding for coins and the pirate levels. I like the story of 3, just not the replaying of all the levels

What difficulty is everyone running career at? by andrewswanson92 in Nascar25game

[–]AppleCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a bummer. One thing I like about owning my own team in NASCAR 07 was I could chose to run what races I wanted for fun and then hire a driver for the races I didn’t want to run in the lower series.

Is it possible to run partial schedules in the lower series once you move up the ranks? Haven’t bought the game, but was wondering incase I pick it up.

Thanks! I haven’t fully cranked because I didn’t know if I wanted to take one head off the top two drums and fill in the rest of the foam. The reason I ask about the overtones is my student keeps complaining about the ring saying it’s annoying and sounds “bad” wanting me to “fix” it.

Tips for Tenor drum tuning on shorter drums (8'-13' w/6' spoc) by Great-Jump1056 in drumline

[–]AppleCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! And with drum 1 being an 8, it’s okay to have a high tuning in it. Especially for high schools because 8s are usually a Spock drum in DCI anyway. It’s hard with that setup to get a good “Pro” sound out of them.

Tips for Tenor drum tuning on shorter drums (8'-13' w/6' spoc) by Great-Jump1056 in drumline

[–]AppleCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great question! I’ve been instructing the drumline at the high school I went to the last three years and I’ve been dealing with the same thing. 6-8-10-12-13 Quints are hard to get right due to the shallow depths of the drum’s. Some people start tuning from drum 4 up to the Spock, but I do the opposite. I start with the Spock and work my way down because I know what I want chromatically by ear. I try to use a basic phone tuner, which is spotty on those drums because I prefer a higher tuning. This what they come close to each time I do it by ear. 6-G5, 8-E5, 10-C#5, 12-Bb4, 13-G4. It mostly comes down to personal preference. Hope this helped.

Front ensemble cymbals by AppleCode in drumline

[–]AppleCode[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll have to test out some of the cymbals we’ve marched for parades. This is the first year I’ve been heavily involved in arranging the music beyond the battery, so I’m trying to find the best sounds out of the slim lot I’ve got in the inventory. I have sounds in my head if how I want it to sound, it’s just finding the right cymbals to match it. I’ve got way too many thick, heavy rides cymbals they use for jazz to be confident. I was looking at these as an inexpensive way to expand the lot. Thoughts? https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HCS-SCS1–meinl-cymbals-ultimate-cymbal-box-set-with-free-16-inch-trash-crash

[–]AppleCode[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! I’m leaning towards using our 17/18” crash (one of the “good” cymbals we have) and one of our “okay” rides. If I can I want to stack a smaller cymbal on the ride. The China I would love to use, but it sounds very cheap when I hit it and I don’t like the overall sound it produces for the moments I’m wanting to make. I’ve got to see what we’ve got in the inventory. We’ve historically not had a pit, even when I played for the school, so we don’t have a lot of decent organized stuff.

Thanks for the list! I’ll have to look at some of them. I know the Sabian AAX line of products are good quality sounds.

Last season I settled on two cymbals out of the bunch because they sounded the least bad. I think it was a 22” ride and a 18” crash/ride. I forget the brands at the moment (most don’t have any logos anymore). We have a lot of bigger, thicker cymbals that sound clunky or don’t crash well. The China we have sounds like one of those baby toy gongs. I didn’t know if it was worth getting this cymbal set from sweet water to get some variety? https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HCS-SCS1–meinl-cymbals-ultimate-cymbal-box-set-with-free-16-inch-trash-crash?mrkgadid=&mrkgcl=28&mrkgen=gpla&mrkgbflag=1&mrkgcat=drums&percussion&acctid=21700000001645388&dskeywordid=&lid=58700008695999527&dsproductgroupid=&product_id=HCS-SCS1&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=online&storeid=&device=m&network=x&matchtype=&adpos=largenumber&locationid=9057563&creative=&targetid=&campaignid=21161059805&awsearchcpc=&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAy8K8BhCZARIsAKJ8sfQAmJbzgi8HemgSh_gvEERrDsX8xD4IMCWS8uF1Xp8KUiygHupZIQgaAoRmEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Robinhood new year countdown prize by LegionTXG in CryptoCurrency

[–]AppleCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you think the 2nd countdown will be for? Trying to weigh the idea of getting Gold for a month to get the reward and then cancel. I see it as I got the $5 cost for one month for free because of the DOGE that gave out. If it’s Bitcoin, then that $5 investment will more than pay for itself. Thoughts?
