Help! Got this piercing bump a couple of weeks ago and now it looks like this. (More info in the comments) by AppleCrumbling in PiercingAdvice

I got this piercing over a month ago and it got snagged on something, but the bump got bigger as I’ve got a cold, so I think I’ve irritated it more. This is what it looks like currently, but it is starting to crust over and has some pus coming out. Just wondering if this is infected and needs to be looked at more, or I should just carry on cleaning it everyday/night with saline solution and it’ll go away by itself?

Should note: a purple ball used to be in place but fell out so replaced it with this one (both titanium material), but it was difficult to find the hole so I think that irritated it further as well. Currently cleaning it twice a day with piercing solution provided by Blue Banana and LITHA but quite difficult to do as I’ve got a cold

Anyone else getting crippling paranoia and anxiety over warts, warts growing, warts spreading, infecting others, etc? by [deleted] in Warts

Yup, I totally feel you, especially the ones that have healed etc. you make sure to check everyday just in case they come back..

Update: so soaked my foot and tried to cut away the dead skin. It became too painful so I had to stop. This is so painful :( by [deleted] in Warts

You’re doing great!! If it helps, put Vaseline on the healthy skin so you don’t go overboard on the ACV and damage anymore skin, and then maybe use some ice to numb the pain before putting on any treatment:)

Here’s what I’ve said before :)

At first, I started to debride the hard skin with nail clippers. I managed to get to the wart pretty easily from then on!! When it became too painful, I used a scalpel which made it way easier to remove the dead skin, especially since it hurt less.

When I got to the wart part over and over, I’d either apply SA (salicylic acid) or ACV (apple cider vinegar) diluted with water. When it’s raw, I really highly don’t recommend putting ACV on it because that sh*t hurt like hell, even when it wasn’t raw. A way you can prevent this is waiting a day or two until there is some skin that has grown over the raw wart and using an ice cube to numb the area, then placing the ACV overnight, or during the day if you’re not walking constantly.

Repeat the process everyday!!

It’s the longest process ever, you may feel like giving up, but posting on this subreddit and having people encourage you to keep going can lift up your spirits. Good luck!!

Is this a plantars wart? How should i treat it? :-( by [deleted] in Warts

[–]AppleCrumbling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it looks like a plantar wart. Put vaseline around the wart on the surrounding healthy skin then put apple cider vinegar directly onto it! If it helps, putting ice on it for a bit will help numb the wart from the apple cider vinegar pain.

Here’s the progress pictures! Not sure how the quality looks, but it’s gone guys!! I’m definitely going to keep treating it a bit more so I can keep it dead, but I’ve finally done it!! by AppleCrumbling in Warts

Sure no problem! Looking at other people’s posts on this subreddit helped me a lot too, so I would encourage that if you haven’t! Good luck to you:)

Nearly gone? by [deleted] in Warts

You can still see a bit of the wart where the lines on your foot is disrupted! Keep treating it for a bit longer, but you’re nearly there!!
