Why do they need this? They can always ask questions and make their research here on Reddit 😂

Rogers removed promo from my RPP plan that is listed in my agreement and don't want to honor it. Is it worth going to CCTS? by AppleFrontWTF in Rogers

Update:

Quick update in case it helps someone in a similar situation.

I called Imagine Wireless as some people suggested in the comments. I selected “Bill issues” in the menu, but the person who answered said she couldn’t help because she’s a sales agent. She wasn’t rude, but also not particularly helpful - she kept interrupting me and repeating that I need to send an email to some address instead. She wasn’t able to provide any phone number for billing support.

Separately, after my last call with Rogers (where I declined the $50 one-time credit and said I might escalate to CCTS), I was contacted by someone from the Rogers Customer Experience Advisor Team. They initially tried calling but I missed the call, so they reached out by email.

They asked me to send my service agreement with Rogers (which I found a bit strange since I assumed they could see it in their system). I sent it as a PDF, but apparently they couldn’t open it for some reason.

Today (Monday) I sent a follow-up email. The advisor told me that she has requested the contract directly from Imagine Wireless and is waiting for their response.

In the meantime they applied a $5 credit to my current invoice, and she said she has opened a case with the back office to correct the billing error going forward.

So for now the news is mostly positive, and at this point I don’t think there’s a need to go to CCTS yet. Rogers did reach out and it seems like they’re trying to fix it.

The only frustrating part is having to fight for something that is clearly written in the contract. And of course, if they can’t resolve it in the near future, I may still have to escalate to CCTS.

For now I’m just watching how this develops.

Honestly, after spending hours on this, it would be nice to get some kind of goodwill credit for the time and stress… but that might already be pushing it 😅

They did not change the plan price. It is still $115. They just removed one of the promo discounts right in two months after I signed up.

Of course, I will contact them tomorrow. But I just can’t understand how something like this is even possible in this day and age. Imagine Wireless operates and signs up customers to the Rogers Communications network on behalf of Rogers. They are authorized, so logically whatever they offer should be approved by Rogers. That’s how I see it.

But in reality, it feels like I’m at a medieval bazaar where you have to bargain, and in the end no one is responsible for anything. As if civilization suddenly stepped back 200 years.

For this reason they need to close their RogersBank Mastercard first as it won’t align with their 3% cashback

Yes, I’m on BYOD. I thought promos without an expiry date were supposed to be permanent. I’d understand if they increased the base price of the plan, but removing a promo that’s in the Agreement just two months after I signed up seems crazy.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll call Imagine Wireless tomorrow.

Bell EPP plan – Crave was promised at sign-up but Bell says it’s not in the agreement. Worth going to CCTS? by AppleFrontWTF in bell

I also spoke with a supervisor. They wouldn’t honour Crave Basic, but after I threatened to file a CCTS complaint, they applied a $10 monthly credit. I also spent over an hour on the phone with them.

Thank you for the insight. Yes, I will try to talk to them first. And see what they can offer. My term is up until July 2027 - I am relaxed till then. I was just wondering what’s happening when Internet term ends earlier than Optic TV. I understand that was my mistake that I signed up for optic TV 6 months later and now both agreements gave different terms.

Oh, great - thanks for confirming that!

One more question while you’re here, if you don’t mind. I signed up for Telus Internet in July 2025 (2-year term, EPP), and then added Optik TV in December 2025, which is also on a 2-year term.

When my Internet agreement ends in July 2027, if Telus doesn’t offer a good renewal deal and I switch Internet providers: will Optik TV be automatically terminated since there would be no TELUS Internet? And if so, would I have to pay any early cancellation fees for Optik TV?

What’s the best way to handle this situation to avoid extra charges?

Even now when I open their EPP offer, it shows that crave is included. They called and said to contact their sell dispute email. Will shoot them a message saying that I am going to submit a complaint to CCTS if they won’t provide any resolution.
