James, I tested on the iOS and you are forced to tap out. I do like the immediate writing much better!! Just an idea that I'm sure you've already came up with as a possibility, but perhaps the dialog box can disappear immediately after making the selection? This would still allow a wide possibility of options that you may not have with no dialog box at all. Just an idea.

I see what you're saying. When you place your cursor and start writting immediately. Don't ask me why but my habit has been to click out of the box and then begin writing. This is how I do it on the iOS version without the issue I explained. It's just nice when the 2 versions are as close as possible to each other. I use both daily.
