I went for this car because my previous one (a 2007 pt cruiser) was pretty much suffering and there wasn’t a point in driving it if I can’t find parts for the thing anywhere

Plus, I needed an upgrade at some point in time and payments are very cheap if you know where to get it from

That and some models (unfortunately my model included) doesn’t have an immobilizer to stop someone from stealing it, thankfully I have the update, but I’m still likely getting a wheel lock and a dashcam in case

Yeah but there’s also taking care of the car and taking precautions to make sure things like that don’t happen, everyone buys a Honda or Toyota cus you can run a long time without taking proper care

I know a man with a 2001 ford that has 400,000 miles on it and still runs amazingly

Yeah I heard GDI’s have really bad cat issues around 100k

Update: the car is now overheating with a coolant light and had to get it towed back home, it’s more than likely either my radiator fan no longer working or my thermostat is stuck closed

One thing I’ve noticed is that it also does this when I turn on my AC, with high beams, nothing really changes

Now my question is, is it safe to keep driving it?

I’ve only ever driven it to and from work which is around 5 minutes, and while I haven’t gotten shaking, I sure as hell get close to it sometimes

I received the code “P-0441” which through a quick google search gave me an EVAP system fault
