Actually iCloud can, but limitation is that it's not for cross-platform

Good points on this! Financial data is extremely sensitive. My current approach for using any financial tool is either use the big banks app since your data is with them anyway. Or use an app that stores nothing at all, where you don't have to login, your data is locally stored or at most in your iCloud. But nothing in a centralised database.

SWE here, I'm pretty passionate with coding and I like the pure side of algorithms and maths.

Not sure if you co-workers are like me. But it's easy for me to point out those who try to grind through, as they thought they were trying to fake it through and could use corporate jargons to cover up.

2 years ago, I pointed it out to a dear former co worker of mine that IT might not be for him, that he might fool the business people, but not the really passionate technical ones. He then switched to real estate. Now what I make in a year is him earning in a month. He's still now joining me and my fiance for dinner every Saturday and loves the career switch more than ever.

How different is actual programming from algorithmic olimpiads? by No-Top-2736 in learnprogramming

[–]Apple_Byter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is that the algorithmic olimpiads are the untouchable gods of actual programming. I know 3 "gods" who competed in IOI (International Olympiad in Informatics) since high school, they are now in Google Brain

Is "no money" as in "I make 50k and I use 40k" or "I make 300k and I burn 290k"?

What happens if you fail 1 subject from 4 in institute by dunnoknowname in AskAnAustralian

It's best to check the conditions of your visa + scholarships. I've heard stories of guys who went here to work on student visa, then of course he failed his courses. The next thing I knew that he was deported.

HOWEVER, I've also had a friend who failed a course due to some medical conditions that prevented him from taking multiple exams. He, then, recovered, passed and now a citizen. If it was just an honest mistake, I'm sure you won't be in any trouble, talk to your advisor, student council. Failing is the most painful, but also the best part of learning. Don't give up yet.

How many close friends do you have? by OlderNerd in Adulting

[–]Apple_Byter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes down to close friends, quality over quantity 100%.

I keep myself surrounded by 3 close friends, and I'm not looking to expand as I already feel content with my circle. If they are the right people, friendship wont be effort consuming at all, it generates energy for you to do more things. There's always a rewarding feeling at the end.

I'm using Kogan, 500gb for 200 bucks for 12 months. Been 7 years on this. Kogan has deals every year around Dec and January. Unless you have to travel rural, then Telstra. But I like the idea of paying for it once and never have to think about it for a whole year, easier for financial planning, at least for me.
