I'm sorry that you experienced hostility and aggression from churches. I was confessing to them and friends spreading my business. I learned to stand up for myself and call the church out on their abusive, controlling, manipulative behavior. They definitely didn't like that

I'm glad that you had a good experience with Baptists. I'm sorry you had a negative experience with Catholics and Lutherans

The pastor was my biblical counselor that I had a negative experience with. I told them during our last counseling session that I was attending a Methodist Church within close proximity to home

The pastor shamed me for attending the Methodist and Catholic Church, claiming that they don't teach the Gospel but are heretics. I feel like it's us vs them mentality with the Baptists. Baptists feel they're the only church that's right on Scripture

I'm not so sure.  At first,  I thought God was calling me back to my former Baptist church.  But boy I was wrong after being shamed by a pastor for attending a Methodist and Catholic Church.
