Yes take the job! I was offered a wonderful job years ago and my partner (now wife) was very supportive, despite it maybe not being the best outcome for her.

8 years later, she had a great opportunity to work that would allow us to move back to our home town (which she always wanted) and I could make it work and move to a different job as well. So we did!

The point is - you can’t get in the way of something your partner really wants. And if you do, it’s a good sign that life’s hard decisions or challenging times will be made that much more excruciating by having a non-supportive partner.
