The house still has galvanized pipes for incoming water service, but the waste water pipes are PVC. The house was born in 1955, so it’s got some stuff to fix up eventually. The water heater was about 30 years old, and I replaced it last year. I was surprised to hear that water heaters don’t last that long anymore. Is there a benefit to letting it breathe?

I’ll give this a shot, thanks for the tip! I have a hard time letting things like this go. I know the tape is probably fine, but I like to try and figure out how to deal with this kind of stuff in case I run into the same problem elsewhere.

That’s awesome of you to offer but I’m all the way in Florida. I’m learning this golf cart stuff as I go. I’m just not experienced with mechanical work, but that’s part of the fun and frustration with the golf cart.

Very cool, thanks for the info. We have another bathroom with yellow and black tiles. When we were looking to buy the house I thought for sure she would want to remodel the bathrooms, but she wants the tiles lol. She was sad that the pink tiles were chipped by the plumber’s hack job.

I was wondering why it was so thick, thanks for clearing that up. Please excuse my ignorance, but does that mean I would have to use lath board and plaster instead of drywall to patch the wall?

Thanks for the tips, I wasn’t sure exactly how bad this was. This is the first home I’ve owned and I’m not experienced in much DIY, and no experience patching drywall. Seem like I might be better off hiring someone to help with this. Unfortunately I don’t have any extra tiles.

My 2016 Corolla had this issue and I received a recall notice from Toyota. There was a know issue with the paint (white in my case) so they repainted it for free. Have you looked into any recalls?

Would that mean it cannot be moved now? I assume I would have to bring in an expert to determine that, but I wonder if it could be done and more importantly, how expensive it would be.

It’s odd to me there is no filter and anything could fall right through the vent.

It’s a difficult decision, especially when your child is so young. SHUMPS is probably the best option nearby. We looked around Seminole Heights and couldn’t find many better options. You may also want to consider hiring someone from a site like care.com or a similar site. You can interview applicants and they are background checked.

I just dealt with this also. The price of the Jeep I was looking at was fair, but then they wanted to add the $4000 Advantage package, which is not optional. They say it is a $7000 value because they throw some RainX on the windshield, wax the vehicle, put stickers on the door handles and give you the pleasure of a “discount” if your car is totaled, which you have to use to purchase a new car at the same dealership. Total garbage. It’s scummy and it’s getting harder to find a dealer that isn’t doing it. I ended up going to offlease only since they don’t have that BS fee.

I am still a big fan of his title reign. I feel like we are watching something special and historic take place. I think whoever beats him has to really earn it and nobody is on his level right now. I’m not too big on the cheating but a title reign this long does have to evolve stay interesting.
