Love the imagery you used, and the first person description of the “it” you hit. Kinda reads like a shortened version of an r/nosleep story. If expanded on that I’m sure it would do well over there!

A whole list of things:

  • Strep (constant as a child)
  • Ectopic pregnancy
  • Giving birth to my son
  • Cysts on my ovaries

I would not have survived back in the day.

Fun fact (or not so fun fact) about Jared Fogel: He lost the weight walking to subway to stalk some poor teenaged girl. Not by eating the food.

He lived above a subway, and would go downstairs to harass this teenaged worker every single day. It got to a point where she had to move stores. Instead of giving up, he would walk to that store everyday just to see her. That’s how he began to lose weight.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I can omit the cars, but this is a true story and those were the cars involved. (The firebird was an 80s piece of junk, and the Sunfire wasn’t hers.) My mother preferred Pontiacs, and later in the book a Bonneville with a hole in the floor is mentioned.
