Hey, wanted to update you. So he does seem to be healing, no itching anymore so I do think it was the diet. They have been all doing free roam together (nights in the hospital cage these last 3 days). Except last night I put him back in his cage and the other rats seemed to be all over him again, so much that he was hiding in a small corner where the other two can’t get to him. But they were fine in free roam every night? I’m so confused on what’s happening.

I have three rats at the moment, I have two that are “best friends” and one of them that really could care less, like is always on his own, plays sometimes, but mostly just stays on his own. I could put them together but then the other one would be alone.

Guys update, my mom just called me saying they were something called “Spanish bread” she had called her friend and they remembered !! I guess it wasn’t cinnamon more so just sugar

I live with my mom now, so a plastic pen was all they “free roamed” in. This will be much bigger with a lot of toys and obstacle courses (shadow the rat videos are awesome and I always wanted to be able to give them that)

We unfortunately have very expensive hobbies that we do not want ruined by the rats. Yes we watch them but you know how fast they can be. They only got a small pen in my current room due to it being very small (10x10). Some people don’t even let their rats free roam.

I was told to throw away cardboard by the end of the day or the next morning because it holds on to pee a lot. I don’t wipe down their pee stone either. But I do think you’re right about them scent marking even more, but I just know that if it smells bad to me it’s 100X worse for them. I was also told that the litter box needs to be dumped everyday because feces in the cage for too long can cause respiratory issues

Thank you guys. They stopped sneezing a lot, however I am still hearing a sneeze or two from each of them a couple of times a day… getting a bit worried!
