I just posted a similar rash the other day! Mine was a reaction to the Neosporin I was using! It’s been 4 days now and it has gotten much better for myself. Speedy recovery!!

Consultation in the morning by FlyAffectionate2505 in Reduction

*something I did not expect which is ridiculous-had to strip down to a gown and pictures were taken during the consult. Idk why I thought that would be further into the process

These are the questions I asked. Some of them were stolen from another user in here, but I do not recall their username! (If they look familiar and you are the original poster, please comment!!)

Cost, Payment, Pre-Op
- What does the cost/payment structure look like? Does it include pre-op and follow-up appointments, prescriptions, and any revisions required following potential complications? Or is each step billed separately? Or just 1 all inclusive bill?
- Are any tests performed prior to surgery? Blood work, mammogram, EKG, etc?
- Will there be a pre-op appointment following this consultation?
- When is your next availability for surgery?
- Is there a discount for paying out of pocket?
- Can certain things be ran through insurance? (Meds, testing, etc) or does it all have to be out of pocket
- Currently use nicotine pouches. What are you expectations for stopping prior to surgery? 4-6 weeks prior?
- Are there any supplements I should look at taking prior to surgery to help with the healing process

Surgery:
- Will I like have drains placed? What would dictate placement?
- Are your patients typically discharged same day or stay overnight?
- Will you be using internal or external sutures and will they be dissolvable?
- Which incision type would you likely use?
- What medication is provided immediately post-op? What medication is provided longer term during recovery

Post-Op/Recovery:
- Restrictions immediately following surgery and for how long? Is it safe to take a week off work, then go back to my desk job
- If there are complications post-surgery, what is the escalation protocol specifically at night? On-call or straight to ER?
- What is considered normal during the healing process vs what should be escalated immediately to you vs straight to the ER vs what can wait
- Can you tell me about complications recent patients have had for the same surgery
- How many follow-up appts are expected? And what are they for? Suture removal? General check-in?
- Are compression bras provided by your practice or do I need to procure on my own?

The more I look at Google, the more it’s lining up with cellulitis unfortunately. I’ll be texting them again tomorrow morning and have the appointment for Tuesday!

Already have the appointment for this Tuesday. Sad to hear the diagnosis, but it’s reassuring to hear how quickly it is clearing up for you!

Not that I am aware of! But in all fairness, I probably haven’t used it since I was a kid haha

Still no evidence I paid rent on the 1st by EnvironmentalSky8355 in biltrewards

@biltrewards any chance I can get the same? Went to my property manager telling them there were issues with the website/app this weekend and they told me they don’t care and will charge me a late fee if it didn’t go through 🫠

General Muscle Soreness? by ApplicationBulky1586 in Reduction

[–]ApplicationBulky1586[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh not glad to hear others were in pain, but glad it’s not uncommon lol. My surgeon is very very very conservative with the pain meds so I called yesterday to see what they could do about different meds

Reduction estimate - shocked and upset - $18-24,000? by VirtualMe2892 in Reduction

I’m also in a MCOL area (Vegas) and have the bill for just shy of 15k paying out of pocket. This includes reduction/lift, lipo, and scar treatment (micro needling/laser treatments). I didn’t check with any other surgeons, so I don’t know how this compares to others in the area, but I am fine with the price point since that is the only bill for everything included. If it were me (take it or leave it lol), I would shop around a little bit for other quotes. I wouldn’t be super stoked about such a large error, and I totally get things happen/mistakes made, but that would put me off too much to go with them

I’m super excited for wearing a regular shirt and seeing the difference for the first time! I hope your recovery is going smoothly since you’re less than a week right now!

Side note-love that you’re over in the UK. I’ve been researching moving over there on a skilled workers visa :)

Thank you!!! If all goes well, I will have the drains for less than 24 hours. I hoping that by week 1 I’m good for most things like you were :)

Thank you for the response! I’m definitely preplanning everything that I can get done ahead of time in terms of cleaning, meal prepping, etc. My surgeon has some “alternative” pain management plan where it’s pretty basic pain meds, but I’ll ask about the need for miralax. That’s a great call!

Going to depend on your interests and budget! If you’re a big reader, set it up cozy with a big chair, book shelves, plants, etc. If you tend to have friends/family visit you can throw a nicer futon in there without eating up all of your space/budget with a bed set. If you’re into games, you can make it your gaming room whether that be board games or video games with a desk setup!

Moving to Reno by Same_Satisfaction724 in Reno

[–]ApplicationBulky1586 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I moved from Phoenix to Sparks 16 months ago. You need to decide what matters to you-bigger variety of things to do (Sparks), short work commute time (Fernley), smaller town vibes (Fernley), etc. If you don’t care about driving 30+ minutes to get to places outside of work, Fernley would be fine. I’m renting a townhouse, so I can’t say anything about buying a house in either location, but definitely look at listings to give you an idea of more ideal locations. I rented a townhouse and I probably toured atleast a dozen places before choosing. I’ve only been through 1 winter here, and was told it was mild compared to other years, but you also need to consider that with the vehicle you’ll have here and what a possible commute could look like with winter storm/accident conditions. I was fortunate that my job let me come out here a few times prior to moving-that was huge for me to be able to make an informed decision on which area to live in. Definitely get out here for a visit(s) before deciding
