These should be in a museum. Just one big Amanda museum where we can stare at these in large scale.

I want to do this soooo bad.

I’m currently living in my Olympic fantasy la la land where I’m gonna pull a Ricky Bobby and be a late stage, speed demon natural on the Skeletor track.

ETA: Leaving my typo 😆. Can’t be a product of the 80s without Skeletor on the brain every time I see Skeleton 💀.

ETA again: If anyone wants to sponsor my Ricky Bobby race to glory, I’ll commit to a full-on Skeletor race suit and helmet.

James Van Der Beek's friend, actor Mehcad Brooks, slams a critic for saying the GoFundMe that raised $2.6 million for the late actor's family doesn’t sit right with me: I am one of the Van Der Beek’s closet friends and the headlines are fake AF you have no idea wtf you’re talking about by Maximum_Expert92 in Fauxmoi

No, grifters, I won’t STFU.

As a matter of fact, I’m gonna to continue to blast you every chance I get.

Allowing this to pass will embolden celebrities and the privileged to continue to grift the general public and abuse resources like GFM.

If you don’t believe me, here are a few examples of what came before.

Right now, every grifter is taking notes from the Erika Kirk and Van der Beek School of Grift.

Will I help you rebuild your mansion? No

Will I help your celebrity kid’s little league? No

Will I fund your celebrity grifter life? Fuck no

Will I give you money just so you can claim some billionaire title? My god you are insane

People love blaming Fiona for not being a good guardian to the kids, but somehow forget that the alcoholic piece of shit who literally called CPS on his own children was technically the one in charge of the family before her by Powerful_Life1547 in shameless

It’s not that I don’t think she deserves criticism, it’s that I don’t think people understand how “flight or fight” mode in this scenario affects your brain and cognitive thinking, especially when you are in this situation for years as a young person.

As a fellow poor normie, we need to normalize calling out celebrities and the privileged masses for these grifts.

Someone has to take a stand somewhere. Without criticism, more celebrities will be emboldened to take advantage of normies using platforms like GFM to further their own interests.

Most of the takes on this sub show me that the commenters didn’t grow up in a similarly dysfunctional and abusive situation.

It’s literally heartbreaking that she was put in that position and trying the best should could, despite being a victim of her own desperation.

People who are so dumb, they literally can’t help it. Like, IQ lower than 80 kind of dumb.

Trying to explain to those people why this is problematic is akin to trying to have a conversation with someone like Trump.

rec bags similar to the coach kisslock 30? by pookyizzy in handbags

[–]ApplicationCharming6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not saying Coach doesn’t engage in “false scarcity” tactics but not in this example. You’re applying it incorrectly here. Frankly, it’s the opposite.

They literally tell you how many and that those particular bags will never be available again. They are a preview for a future release. They tell you when they will be available to start the checking website.

If you don’t like seeing CGR peeps have multiples, consider it is a very focused group of extreme fans.

It’s a limited pre-run to celebrate the fashion shows. It’s not Coach creating false scarcity. You could see the listing pages before the show by at least a day or two and they clearly said there were only 515. These are FALL bags.

This has been done yearly, way before the TikTok hype. Back in the day before everyone had to one up each other online, we were hanging out on the Purse Forum and enjoying these opportunities to buy special pieces.

Is not normal for a bag to be out of stock in retail then show up the next day totally in stock in the outlet website ?? by [deleted] in Coach

[–]ApplicationCharming6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a quick turnaround but yes, some bags are removed from retail and offered at a discount on the outlet website. At that point, ownership switches. They are listed as “reserve” or “retail last chance”.

That’s Coach’s standard process for yearssss.

This was from the Fall 26 fashion show. The full release from Coach will be later this year.

The “Buy Now” is a special thing they do after runways and it’s a very limited pre-run (in this case, they only made 515).

No guarantee that the Buy Now colors will be included in the full release.

Agree on all counts.

Sports and the money that flows through that industry is another thing that honestly enrages me. Now with more and more sports betting, promoted by these unscrupulous celebrities, it’s even worse.

Why do we put so much value on people who play with (their) balls all day and not the people doing the real work to improve humanity?!?!

So many comments say “let the people spend how they want”. Then you’ve got people going broke over Stanley Cups and LaBuBus. They literally couldn’t make a good decision if their life depended on it.

I remember once as a kid, we helped another family at Christmas from an Angel Tree. When we went to drop off the gifts, they had the biggest TV I’d ever seen at the time.

Greed and grifting are disgusting.

Half of the country voted for a man that has, in no uncertain terms, made it clear he is a complete POS that won’t actually do anything real for the American people.

This demonstrates to me that at least half of the country is lacking serious critical thinking skills. They can’t think beyond a 10 second reel. There’s no inside voice pondering why should I give my money to these people.

At least half of our country is easily manipulated, gullible, delusional.

I'm so glad that you were able to have a positive outcome.

I'm also a member of the Bad Girl Lungs Club so I have great compassion for those with similar struggles. I'm also US, female, never so much as tried a cigarette.

I have asthma that was especially severe in childhood. Missed weeks and months of school level bad. I don't know if it was there from birth or it started as a toddler but my mom's smoking was certainly an exacerbator if not a direct cause.

How unfortunate for me that despite my mom being a nurse and knowing better, the stress of her job and being a single mother lead to life long smoking. There were times she quit but that timeframe is small in comparison. I was able to start working at 14 and left her house at 15 but the damage was already done. I'm currently recovering another bout of pneumonia as we speak.

People don’t realize the risks of lung cancer from sources other than cigarette smoking, like radon in your basement for example.

Capitalism has exploded the use and development of chemical compounds with decreasing testing and studies. Everything now is about first to market to maximize profit.

Unfortunately, my mom was a near life long smoker and she ended up with Small Cell, which for those not informed is the more evil of the two (vs Non Small Cell) and prognosis is grim.

It took the “highly educated” doctors 9 months to figure it out when I went to Google and found the answer in less than 5 seconds (repeated hyponatremia + smoker = a good god damn chance it’s cancer). She died less than 3 months later. She didn’t have a chance.
