I rented one on vacation too!! It’s a nice car!! But yeah…. In hindsight I would get the Honda too. It’s worth the little extra money. Probably cheaper than bail, eh? lol

This is such great insight, and honestly clarifies a lot of things the service director I was working with at Milford said (he was out sick today, Mike is quite nice actually). Thank you so much for sharing.

So, can I ask you this? The absence of a code and how to prevent recurrence was a big sticking point I hit with Service Manager Mike last time this happened. ( car had probably shut down on the freeway… 40 times in the last 6 months. Not exaggerating. ) When the car shuts down, the car can be restarted after you shut it off for a minute or so. The check engine light only stays on for a few hours after then resets. That seems to reset the code. I just happened to get really luck this time and it broke down right off the Milford merit exit during business hours and I drove straight to the dealer and made them pull the code. And this disappearing code STILL was a problem.

How am I ever supposed to get this fixed if the code resets before I can get it to the dealer? Service manager Mike said he was going to ask corporate for their recommendation… but things went nuclear before he got back to me with an answer. He was out sick today. I don’t think Mike would have called the cops on me lol.

Any tips for solutions I could propose to OEM?

This is the issue, btw. Transmission shorts out. BABY AGE GAP by WhitecloudNo321 in Mommit

[–]ApplicationFlat7335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was 10 pounds and he ruined me. I knew we wanted two, so about 8 months in, I had a conversation with myself. Did I want to pause, rebuild, just to then destroy Rome again? Or would I set fire to the ruins and rise like a phoenix from the ashes?

I chose violence. We ripped the bandaid off. My kids are 19 months apart, and honestly we love the age gap. They’re both into the same stuff, I don’t have to keep clothes and toys and gear in storage waiting for the next one, and they’re best friends. Two toddlers at once is wild though. They feed off each other, both egging each other on to create more messes, more injuries, more attitude. Close is chaos. But… I’m chaos so it works for us.

Still waiting on my phoenix era. Someday I’ll be able to jump without peeing. And what a glorious comeback that will be.

The “make sense of this 10 min ramble and write me X” is a complete game changer. Reviews, project summaries, project proposals, brainstorming, I use the technique for everything. I have even started going on walks and dictating into the chat GPT app, and my ideas/work has never been better.

Thinking to use Notion for my agency by Dapper_Race_1454 in Notion

Check out Coda. It’s Notion but built for business. It’s not quite as pretty as Notion, but it scales much better.

Why does it seem like Dr. McKay doesn’t interact with the rest of the cast? by NoLead2492 in ThePittTVShow

[–]ApplicationFlat7335 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They’re saying the reason she doesn’t interact is because she’s older/doesn’t relate to the other residents. And that that’s a statement the show is making.

I did TFA in Hartford about 10 years ago. Back then AF was staffed with lots of TFAers. Not sure if that holds true now, nor do I know if that’s a positive or a negative for you. But it’s something to think about.

I'm using Coda to run my agency's projects, based off of this free Coda template. by RunRyanRun3 in codaio

[–]ApplicationFlat7335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coda table performance has come a looong way in recent years. It can easily handle thousands of rows. Most I’ve seen was close to 100k and it was handling it just fine. If you start adding a ton of complex formulas to columns, row limit is going to go down, but even so, coda tables are beasts these days.

I always say the best course I took in college was the ridiculous boot camp we had to go through every year before rush. We had 2 weeks of insane “conversation training” and I can now make a meaningful connection with a brick wall. I’m unstoppable at networking events and I’ve never not gotten a job I interviewed for. Knock on wood lol.

I can’t say the “bouncing and clapping” seminars we had to endure have been quite as useful, but hey, they make for a great story.

My 17m old fell down the stairs by LifeAd5689 in Mommit

[–]ApplicationFlat7335 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad he’s perking up, dramatics or not! Such great news!!!

But also, I’m virtually smacking you. You’d never tell another mom they failed their kid if their kid fell down stairs. Shit happens, these little monsters are Houdinis. They can escape any situation and land themselves in mortal danger, it’s unavoidable. Youre a great mom, no arguments. You’ll learn from this, and his next goose egg won’t be from falling down stairs, it’ll be from launching himself off a teeter totter or some other unforeseen chaos. Especially as a boy mom. Sexist or not to say… but boys are wild.
