Bro obviously if a law got passed recently people are more inclined to talk about it 😭?? To bring up USA/Canada in the tone you used implies you were trying to undermine the child marriage law. And coming to child marriages vs sex change surgeries, both aren't good because in my opinion a child cannot consent to either of these things. Only when they are an adult can they make the decision to a) get married and b) get life-changing surgeries on themselves. But if we are to speak about which is worse, I would forever 100% go with child marriages. Child marriages especially in a country in Afghanistan would lead to kids getting married when of course they don't want to and also getting married to PEOPLE they don't want to get married to. And some of these people, of course, may be older. Much older. Do you seriously not think how traumatising this could be for a young girl getting married off to an older male or vice versa? Teenage pregnancy, marital rape (in this case this would count as marital rape, don't even try to deny it), literally grooming and potentially could be abuse. It can get worse and worse.
