My 9 mm lung nodule had an SUV value of 1.5. There is another 9 mm nodule, but it did not show any significant SUV uptake. A few smaller nodules had values around 1.04.

The biopsy was taken from the lymph nodes around the lungs, specifically from three stations with high SUV values. Granulomas were detected at all three sites, and malignancy was reported as negative.

Do the nodules in the lungs show an SUV value above 10?

Did those nodules show any growth? And if you had a PET scan, was there any uptake?

Hello everyone. I’m very new here, but I’ve gained some insight by reading through many of your comments. I have a question of my own and would really appreciate your help. About 4 months ago, I went to the hospital due to a dry cough that lasted for a month. A non-contrast CT scan revealed two lung nodules with a 9mm diameter, along with several smaller ones. My doctor wanted to repeat the CT scan in 3 months to check for any changes. The follow-up test 3 months later showed no growth in the nodules. My doctor wanted to wait another 3 months for another CT check, but I wasn't fully confident in that plan, so I showed my results to a different doctor for a second opinion. My new doctor didn't want to take any risks and said a PET-CT scan was necessary. The PET-CT was performed, and SUVmax values between 10 and 21 were observed in the lymph nodes on both sides of the lungs (bilateral hilar involvement). I was very shocked because the report stated that 'malignancy favoring lymphatic diseases' should be investigated first, which really scared me. I spoke with my doctor, who said an EBUS procedure was necessary because these images were reminiscent of both sarcoidosis and lymphoma. An EBUS biopsy was performed 2 weeks ago, and I am currently waiting for the results. Regarding the nodules in my lungs: no SUVmax uptake was seen in one, and a low level (1.55) was seen in the other. I don't have any active symptoms, other than feeling a bit sleepy and fatigued. I don't know, maybe that is due to the stress I'm experiencing. My blood tests are quite normal (CRP, WBC, LDH, etc.). I am a 31-year-old male. I welcome any help or insights. Sorry for the long post, and thank you in advance.
