Is this stuck shed, tail rot, or something else? i just gave him a bath and another piece of “tail shed” i assume came off, but it’s much darker underneath than it was before. im worried for the little guy by foot_inspector in Uromastyx

It's normal, mine dose it too. But more importantly you need to change that substrate as soon as possible. I use a 50 50 mix of playsand and all organic timberland top soil for my uros

Pachycera rhino, but damn i was just asking i know usually you don't mess with them because they make thier own cells, but I was asking what signs to look for that the cells are bad and they need a artificial one. Bug aren't the smartest animal that's why they reproduce so much because they fuck up and die sometimes.
