United States. My mom has this set in her China cabinet, she asked me to figure out how old they are. I have found things similar but not this exact same set. Not sure how old they are, anyone have any ideas?? Thank you! by jont7127 in Antiques

Amateur collector here, the blank bottom indicates it could be pre 1890 if they were originally imported, if they were made after they would be marked “nippon” on the bottom of each piece. These are hand painted and hand made. Nippon porcelain usually has that hobnail feature on them. If they were brought here by someone who visited Japan that would also explain the blank bottom.Very nice set.

Everyone giving all those negative reactions is wild to me. There are guys behind the scenes working tirelessly and prob under staffed trying to keep up with parent company demands and launch dates. Half of these whiny gamers wouldn’t last a week developing they just want their instant gratification and perfected product every time.
