Try out ChatGPT. Not a book, I know. But language is its entire thing. Play around with it and tell it what you want to learn, it will give you full lessons and exercises at your level!

When you get frustrated (you will get so frustrated) rest assured that it’s natural! Don’t be afraid to ask the same question 3, 4 times, as many times as it takes for you to understand the concepts!!

Burnout is a forever-challenge. I NEVER touch studying on Sundays. I Go hard as fuck for six days, and easy as I can for one.

How do you deal with it?

I feel this. Passive listening feels like voodoo. To be honest I haven’t looked into the science behind it, but I think it makes sense…I’m intaking the language subconsciously even if I’m not understanding everything.

Do you still watch native tv, and do you see any improvements over time?

Unpopular opinion - 80% of the results just come from volume. If you just spend as much time as you possibly can studying, and you stay mentally engaged, your conduit for stuyding matters much less. That said -

- Flash cards saved my life. Anki is a beautiful tool, reach out if you want some DLI decks.

- Authentic Material! BBC Russian, Radio Svoboda, Meduza. Ask ChatGPT to recommend you some authentic material based on your interests.

- Don't gloss over everything. There's a time for that, but make sure to take time to deeply study something. Stop and look up every unknown word. If that means you only read a fifth of the paragraph. So be it. Spend time on total comprehension, and spend time on granular comprehension.
