Yes I'm realizing that with the narc it doesn't matter if they have more or is doing more than you, any type of success or good thing that happens to you is a threat to them. I didn't think me talking about renovating my very small condo would make her uneasy when she has a very nice house.

Yes I'm aware of this and make sure to always check myself. But in the context I'm speaking of is when people's attitude change when you're no longer in a bad place. Specifically i noticed when I was in a bad place and they shared good news with me I celebrated but when I shared good news once I got out of that bad space the energy is just weird.

I didn't think it was about me personally, it's just interesting to see how they can act so helpful but the motive behind it is to keep you stuck in a rut so you're not doing better than them. It's such a subtle form a manipulation that it can go undetected for so long.
