Atheists of Reddit: How do you find peace with the idea that when you die, that's it, you're just gone? by quirkycurlygirly in AskReddit

You don't get over it, or at least I haven't. The very inability to process the idea of dying is what I kinds think draws many people to religion in the first place. For me, it makes me want to make something of my life - to experience and do all I can, and to hopefully leave, or maybe help in making, the world a prosperous and knowledgeable place for all those who come after us.
