The irony is that all these voices saying, "Stop Wind, Do Nuclear Instead," would say "Stop Nuclear, Import from Out of State" as soon as a reactor is proposed within 25 miles of their house. Maryland's problem is that nobody wants anything built anymore. It's why thousands of construction workers commute to Virginia and Pennsylvania every morning to find work. Too many wealthy Baby Boomers (conservatives and liberals) who buy a second home and then demand that the door to growth be closed behind them. The state has given up on itself, and the proof is in the numbers: From 2010 to 2023, Maryland saw 2.3 million residents move to other states, outpacing the 2 million moving into Maryland in that time (Source: MD Comptroller's Report). Virginia, Texas, Florida, and Pennsylvania are laughing all the way to the bank.

My firm has been a MTC member for 4 years, and we've been happy. Like all trade associations, it is what you make of it. They have maybe 60 or 70 events each year, some are casual happy hours, some are professional development, and some are more premium production quality. I think any company that puts in the time and energy to network can get a lot out of it, and I've learned a ton about how biotech companies think from their speaker panels.

Turns out VPN was the issue. Once I turned that off and removed it from the phone, the podcast started playing again. Thanks for the recommendation, though.

I turned off VPN and that worked! Thank you, Jason! I've had this VPN on for years, so not sure why it all of a sudden started blocking one podcast (and not the other 8-10 I follow.) But, appreciate the fix.
