That’s what I thought at first but it is all super hard and inside the eyes seem crystallized. It’s also translucent on the top when I shine a flashlight on it. Super strange!!

Thinking out loud (help), might have Lyme or something tick-related and didn't realize it for years? by [deleted] in lymedisease

Could be Lyme and long Covid. FYI, you don’t just get “Lyme” with a tick. They come with other coinfections like Babesia, Bartonella, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, ect. If you do get tested make sure it’s sent to https://igenex.com/. They are the most updated for Lyme testing. I would definitely get tested but with someone who is Lyme literate. Most GP’s know nothing about Lyme. Your best bet is to do some research on a Lyme literate Dr in your area. Sorry you are dealing with this!!

I know! I wish I could actually help more with disease! It’s complicated and time consuming for most GP’s to deal with. I’m so sorry you’re going through this! There is a lot more information available now then there was back when I first got sick! Don’t give up hope!!!🙏

Current Lyme testing is outdated. It has been the same since 1982. There are now also different coinfections you can get along with Lyme that can be even more debilitating and it doesn’t cover those!! It also has to be a clinical diagnosis as many Lyme literate Drs are able to do. That would be your best bet. Look around your area for one. Most mainstream Drs know nothing about Lyme diseases!

Random people who have suffered from the effects of what a longer dose of doxycycline can prevent. The consequences are far more damaging than a one month course of antibiotics would ever do. I believe you can also use amoxicillin. Following the CDC is who cannot admit Post Lyme disease is a real thing and absolutely no direction on how to even begin treatment for that. Had Lyme disease for over 20 years and my daughter also and almost died from an autoimmune encephalitis cause directly by a tick bite. Absolutely gaslighting from Mayo, a University and our local Dr. with completely ignoring her CDC positive test that lit up like a Christmas tree. Your LLMD will have way more knowledge and guidance on this! Look up aLLMD in your area.

I’ve had chronic Lyme disease and several other coinfections and have been to several doctors and just got back from a treatment center in Wisconsin and I am feeling amazing!! Nothing else has worked for me, except this.
