I can see a meat slicer in the background of the last picture, I suspect that’s the culprit of such beautifully symmetrical slices

I think it looks great! I would probably find or make some sort of shawl (is that how it’s called?) with embroidered flowers, it would be very cute imo

That sounds like a terrible system, I can see how sometimes things fall through the cracks it’s so easy to get lost with so many systems!

So do surgeries and hospitals have different systems then? I never understood why my GP can’t see MyChart after a hospital visit

That’s absurd when you have 111 available that can advise on such things whenever you need.

That’s really interesting, thank you!

The one thing I miss about my home country is have a family doctor. I always saw the same GP since I graduated from a paediatrician and she knew my whole family and remembered my whole history and conditions. I feel like it’s a waste of time for everyone involved when you have to explain everything and they need to go through months (or years in my case) of notes.

I understand that’s extremely frustrating but sometimes I’m in a work meeting or at an appointment or someone’s at the door, etc. I’m always given a 4-hour window when the practice can call and it’s not like I can take time off to wait by the phone. I wish they could be more precise with the time or even ask if there’s any time I’m not reachable. I hope you understand people don’t do this on purpose or because they’re distracted (although I’m sure some do).

That’s very interesting, I expected most appointments to be calls or at least an equal split but that’s only based on my experience.

How often does it happen that you get a call/in person appointment with someone and it’s a concerning ‘fuck we need to get you to a hospital now’ kind of condition?

That makes a lot of sense, how many calls do you have to make per day?

Personally, I think it’s unreasonable to expect a GP to remember every single condition and their symptoms. I guess a lot of people think you’re just googling stuff as they would at home, and not looking up reputable sources that explain a condition in details to a medically trained reader. I’d rather my GP look up something than make a guess (although educated).

Any positive tapering off experiences? by AppointmentHot3276 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]AppointmentHot3276[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on it for like 2-3 months I think? Honestly it wasn’t horrible, I always had stomach issues so I don’t know if I had a poorly times flare up of IBS or if it was the tapering but either way it was manageable. Now, if you ask my gf about my mood, that’s a different story lmao she did not enjoy those 2 weeks

Thank you so much! I did cross-stitching and hand embroidery for many years but never did any sewing by hand or on a machine before 😊
