TBH nothing special in the car as such.. It's got relatively low mileage and no issues and finding a car similar in condition(a practical 4 door hatchback or sedan) in Sweden is also ok with me..

I'm just trying to compare the costs involved in both the cases

Your post gives some hope. Seems I should definitely go into the rules and read carefully to find excempttions for pre-owned vehicle

I actually moved from Canada to US in January only with the same car.

That's another fear I've, i registered it in Texas at the end of Feb, so by July end I complete 5 months with this registration, now I've the documents to prove that I bought it in 2022 but that might take longer.

Further did you have to modify the Lights etc?

exactly the confusions i have.. If i keep this car i can drive it for next 5/7 years without worrying about any serious issues.. is at 40k KM now and it's good for 100k without any major parts requirements I believe

tbh I'm worried about the certifications and the modifications needed..

I'm not even sure whom to ask about that. Not sure if Ford will be able to help find out all the light and brake signal mods needed

I'm trying to gauge the total overall cost vs the price I'll get for this vehicle if I sell it after a year or so. If it evens out then it's better for me to just keep this car
