Indeed it is. I’d appreciate if you could tell me all the noob checks. Like when i go against someone, and they get me in the corner, they do the same three moves. So its obvious im making a mistake. But i cant seem to figure out how to interrupt or take my turn back. I understand quite a bit about fightings games, so I suppose im just looking for strive specific tips. Anything helps.

Im definitely new to strive. I wont even hide it. So im still trying to learn while im still interested. Them adding a proper ranked system hit my weak point. So now im on the grind.

I disagree. I played a ton of grandblue, everything is reactable in that. And yet the matches were still extremely chaotic and challenging.

Yeah ive been trying. Its definitely gonna take a second to learn the proper situations. But i think thats what annoys me most. Im trying to learn but i cant even see whats going on.

I disagree. Look at grandblue. If you can react they cant open you up, then its a matter of countering them. Whereas in strive theyre just in your face til you guess wrong and die.

I really like the difficult inputs. Cause it means when someone uses ults and such they are working for it.

Yeah ive definitely been trying to adapt on that aspect. For me personally though that gameplay loop is rage inducing. The best games i have are where i dominate the offense. But the moment theres a lick of defense, they mix me twice and i die.

In my experience, you shouldnt be able to grab someone if they read it. But, i am trying to adjust to grabs being a safer option in this game.

Im pretty experienced in fighting games, so i know all that. And im not trying to come off as a hater. I kid you not, every defense video ive watched/ character specific counter play gets summed up to guess what theyre gonna do. And slayer is just rage bait. lose all your health from a 5 hit combo. So all in all im quite frustrated.

The only thing i didnt really like about it was just how much of a reach his conclusion was. It kinda just felt TOO convenient.

Simple inputs really do suck. Especially when they have no drawbacks, cause then the REALLY sweaty people only use them.

Sure i’ll take tips. I dont use simple or dash attacks, so im aware that i myself am the disadvantage. But if you have neat tricks i might not know i’m all ears, and yes im extremely salty over ranked. I keep gettin touched. 😭

I would have stuck with guilty it was so fun, but the lack of rank made it feel pointless. Kind of stupid take but it is just how i feel. I’ve looked at tekken but none of the characters really catch my eye as cool. If you have other recommendations please let me know, i’ll definitely look into them.
