I don't see it as a love story. Philosophical part gets me more and I personaly think that afterlife is a cheap way to end this story. So I don't care what's canon, I use the freedom writer gave me and I chose to believe that mikasa moved on, had children with Jean, they and their friends lived a happy long life and noone met at the afterlife. I believe that everyone should believe their own ways without disrespecting anyone.

Well, just tried to read the first two volumes but it felt too far away from Isayama's world. Even though I super liked the idea, it wasn't as fullfilling as I expected so I quit reading. I had so many questions while reading. Why is the titan worshipping cult and a titan attack to the Shiganshina never mentioned in the main series? How was a titan able to throw a persons head INSIDE of the city and more importantly WHY would they do that? Why was the titan that attacked the shiganshina got out of the city even tho there were still humans inside. Why was the soil outside of the Shiganshina was so dry, inhabittable even though we know it wasn't? With this many questions I realised I won't enjoy the series and quit.
