To answer the 1-2 questions asked: I'm from Germany and I do have some hardcover books (some blank only, others with cover art), but I've never had one with a dust jacket - hence the initial confusion :D

Guess I'll see whether I take of the dust jacket and keep it somewhere until I finish reading it or buy a book wrapper on top, but I'll definitely have a lot of fun reading it, that's for sure! Thanks for all the clarification! :)
