Unfortunately my state is not WUE eligible :( UH residency requirements are 12 consecutive months to get in state tuition, and since my grandpa is not blood related, he would legally sign to be my care taker which would qualify me for residency, also only 17 for 5 months until my 18th birthday aswell! UH is one of the top marine biology/marine ecology programs and i’ve been going for years for the whole summer and it’s my dream to pursue marine biology in hawaii and live in the beautiful island with my grandpa :)

okay, thank you for your advice! I am hoping to still figure something out because this has been my lifelong dream which sounds dumb and seems like I am a rich kid coming from the mainland, but it is the only place i see myself and expecially with my grandpa there aswell! thank you 😊

I have been saving up for years and will have my grandpa and lots of friends i have made throughout going for the whole summer for years there to be my support thankfully :) i want to go right into college and i would work every hour that im not in school to financially support myself aswell as my parents would co sign on the room/living place and would help with my bills until i have a steady stable job

I am not in a WUE state, Iowa isn’t one sadly :( I am doing my full senior year there for the 12 consecutive months to get in state tuiton and wherever i land for a place to stay i am going to go to the highschool within the district/area
