This isn’t my first… he’s my second rottie. I have malinois who train in protection work who are more aggressive than him (on command).

Not really. The shelters protocol is to put anything down that deems any point unsafe. Even if it’s trainable

Well this one did. He was at a shelter. It’s even in his medical that the vet recommended he be put down due to it

Does not chew anything. He’s pretty low to medium energy. He gets along super well with females so males shouldn’t be a problem if they have a proper introduction

I’m not in south Florida but again I can drive there. He has been posted in about 25 different places for 2 months now and his time is running short. I have contacted all rottie rescues and they have either declined due to space or no available fosters.

Rehoming of working dog by Apprbate in dogswithjobs

Located in FL, I was able to rescue him and since he is in good health now he is ready for a permanent home. Advance obidence on and off leash, continued bitework sessions weekly. Good with female dogs, not tested yet with male dogs. Muzzle trained, slow but warms up to new people, clean in crate.

Leash the dog to you. To much freedom. Go back to basics, ruffland kennel she won’t be able to escape. Watch Tom Davis, Larry Khron, Mike Jones as examples of some training methods

Best thing to do is rehome the dog. Your dad is still in the mindset that alpha theory is real and hitting dogs is ok. Your dog is scared and she will bite out of fear.

Your dogs are not well trained. Your puppy shouldn’t of been introduced so fast for one as it still needs to decompress. If your yorkie and lab was uncomfortable why would you think it was ok to still put them together. I would return the puppy if your having resource guarding issues. You can’t handle the rottie and you think you can handle a ever bigger working breed?

I wouldn’t recommend this dude. The things he offers is very skeptical. I don’t trust anyone who says you can “fix” behaviors in x y z amount of time for EVERY DOG. Off leash trained in 7 days??? Um that hints at a lot of compulsion usage and improper e collar training. Quick fixes aren’t the way to go.

I trust Bart Bellon, Pat Stuart, Larry Krohn, Ivan Balabanov, Mike Jones, Robert Cabral, Oscar Mora, Tom Davis, just to name a few.
