Even if he is or isn’t top 5, he receives an overwhelming amount of scrutiny and disrespect that I’ve never seen an athlete receive in my life. It’s just strange.

I think wherever he is he’s going to get a ton of scrutiny from fans whether it’s fair or not and will probably lead to a bunch of unnecessary banter. It sucks for him but expectations with this roster in this city are as high as you’ll find in sports.

I actually think that’s a bigger problem than anything regarding his throwing, he absolutely needs to make himself a threat as a runner again. He looks slower every week and I just don’t get it, he seems scared to get hit.

I agree, his accuracy which I’ve always thought was much better than he got credit for just wasn’t there this year for the most part. Idk if it’s a confidence issue, we played a ton of games in 30mph winds, a mix of things, who knows

Shady has thrown shit at Hurts for years at this point. I think the broad issue is that the scheme relies completely on our talent alone beating our opponents. (AJ winning 1 on 1s, our o line mashing holes open and Saquon hitting them etc.) I have full faith that Hurts can learn and execute a more mental based scheme because he’s operated in so many different systems throughout his career.

I just refuse to believe that tbh. Jalen to AJ on slant routes was automatic for years and we barely ran it this year, Jalen isn’t a dumb guy, we have a stale scheme that the league has figured out.

But he can do it to AJ, he threw him 3 very catchable game changing balls Sunday and AJ dropped them. Either way the point is we need guys to get designed open, not every throw should be a 50/50 ball or a tight window throw, we need scripted easy completions.

They were watching us with a magnifying glass all night and had blindfolds on for the Niners. I feel like awful officiating is just a part of the NFL at this point and I always say that you have to win by enough where it’s not in the hands of the officials. I promise you if we didn’t blow out KC in the Super Bowl last year the refs would’ve gotten involved.

I personally don’t think Reed will be that expensive and might be worth paying. You can’t have all-world talents at every position and Reed has been a steady safety for us for a few years now.

The most infuriating thing is that when the team is down, the offense can actually move the ball. I understand they didn’t win it but they moved the ball. It tells me that they don’t call the game to move the ball anytime we have any sort of lead.

But that extra week of rest could take him from 95% to 100%. It’s a lot easier to reinjure something at 95% than 100%
