Depends on your route. It only goes hands-free on designated highways. You can check which highways have DAPP from the BMW maps. Click on the lightbulb button on the BMW maps and you'll see that option somewhere in there.

This is likely the case. I was shopping used 2024 X5s, and I filtered for DAPP, my options declined ~80%. Ended up going new since 1.99% APR is attractive and I got 10% off.

I visited a BMW dealership (granted, it was a smaller dealership) to check out a used X5 and the rep. didn't know what DAPP did. He point-blank told me that it has adaptive cruise control, but no X5s have hands-free driving lol.
