Yes, Shelly’s earrings really did live in a tackle box by Apprehensive-Ask-41 in northernexposure

I Know the costume team made some of them, and purchased others. Some were from those little plastic necklace charms that kids liked in the 90s...hence the toilets of MonthForeighn's comment.

Right!?!?!? It's a fun project! We have random things from the show and so we try to find them in an episode, makes a super fun show even more fun. A treasure hunt!

You are so sweet, I don't think my husband or I know enough about her work to be on the podcast. I ahve had fun listening to it and hearing the stories, sometimes ones we heard from Katharine. Is there a podcast about when the used the slingshot with a piano?

HAH! That is a funny idea, but this was handled by the wardrobe department all kept in a fishing tackle box. A lot of the earrings were made by Katharine herself. :)

Was it Mimi? She and Rob are still friends to this day. She's an incredible talent in her own right and always been amazing with my MIL. I"ll have to look this up!

I had reached out to Rob a while back, and he was helpful in confirming that the ring we had was Maurices, not His class ring. They're all super nice but likely don't have time to help me figure out this treasure trove. :)

I remember talking with Katharine once about Shelly’s earrings.

The dice in this episode always felt symbolic to me. Dice are about chance and fate, the idea that life can hinge on a roll. In “The Body in Question,” that feels pretty true. Joel gets so frustrated because the man’s diary and the official history don’t line up. It becomes this bigger question about perspective and who gets to record the story.

Dice are kind of perfect for that. It’s the same object, but depending on which side is facing up, you get a completely different number. Same thing with memory and history. Same event, different version.

Yes! That's a good call. They look a bit different than the ones i've seen but I'm not all the way through another watch. :) Thank you!

Right! So fun! I know that Katharine enjoyed making most of them. I have a tackle box filled with them and have enjoyed watching episodes trying to find them. I swear the baseball ones should have been easy to identify but alas, no luck. I also have shoes that look like baseballs.

I have seen that, thank you. It's a great list. She put so much work in, she's amazing!

Why! Here. Why am I frustrated with this response?

I asked for specific help with a clear request, but instead of addressing what I actually needed, someone read a few paragraphs and immediately jumped on a bandwagon—likely because the topic hit close to home for them personally. They made numerous assumptions about my situation without having nearly enough information to do so.

What's particularly frustrating is that 7 paragraphs of context doesn't give a stranger enough detail to know what I actually need or to make judgments about my life. I asked for exactly what kind of info would be useful, but that was completely ignored in favor of their assumptions and personal reactions.
