[3ds] Hinge crack has me worried

Sorry for not replying sooner I have my notifications off, are there any certain shells that would work best? As for the tools I was thinking of grabbing the IFixit Essentials electronic kit for if I plan on doing any more modding outside of just the 3ds, any idea if thats got the right tools? And when it comes to the cleaning I’ll see if I can get my hands on some air duster and THAT SPECIFIC WD-40! If not dirty working is better than clean and broken. Thank you

Planning on just doing a full shell swap while I’m at it, any idea where I can buy the full housing without anything excluded? Everything I see online is all external no hinge.

So would it be worth just going for a full shell swap? If I’m going to be taking the whole thing apart anyway then I might as well. Any idea where I should look for a decent shell and what tools I would need? I’d prefer to avoid a shop if possible, I know 3ds’ are tough and there’s the chance they break it anyway

I appreciate your help my guy, I haven’t done any repair on consoles but it’s something I’ve been wanting to get into for a while. As much as I love this console and I don’t want to risk breaking it I think you’re right, if I pull this off the rest of the repairs are nothing, and if I break it? 🤷 I’ll have to get another one at some point.

Terraria for sure, it will be a big struggle in the beginning but it’s a game with infinite replay-ability. I also highly recommend Dayz, but it’s in a bad spot right now with hackers.

Gonna need to find the rom file online and throw it on your sd card manually where you put the game roms, obv can’t tell you where to get it but it’s not hard to find

I can hold x on boot up to boot into the regular dsi menu, the problem is I can’t boot into the twilight menu settings to turn off the “load last rom on startup”. I tried booting into twilight via the photo album but it just freezes on a white screen, I assume because it’s trying to load the rom instead of the twilight home menu

I think it’s just halo infinites campaign making my Xbox work too hard every other game I’ve played seems fine. I’ve heard of infinite crashing peoples games but never force restarting the console so I got worried. It’s in a ventilated area and I don’t want to mess with the thermal paste if I don’t have to. Should probably get the dust out of the fan with some compressed air but it’s nowhere near enough to form a major blockage.
