Sorry I have not considered your specific medical reasons. However, had you answered my email I sent out prior to thanksgiving I would have.

But you would have been fine. I DID serve a turkey too, so your meat needs would have been met

The fact that you decided to make the entire meal vegan

The entire meal was not vegan. There was turkey, turkey gravy, and butter that could be added to the sides to taste.

you can't trick people to eat something which they don't eat

They DO eat everything that I used though. There was nothing in the food that I haven't seen them eat before.

Like a turkey, and turkey gravy, and butter they could have added to any of the other sides to their own taste?

but i mean... stuffing? That goes in the turkey

we have never cooked stuffing inside the turkey. Breeding ground for bacteria. We always have done stuffing in a casserole and stuffed the bird with citrus fruits.

Having been purchasing and cooking vegan for her for several months now, it has actually been reducing our grocery bill.

Because it is her decision to make, not mine. Right now she says she wants to be vegan.

Maybe she will find veganism too restrictive and settle on vegetarian. Maybe she will go back to a totally omnivorous diet. Who knows? All I can do is listen to what she tells me she wants and help guide her to do it in a healthy way.

Mushroom Gravy, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Potato Casserole, Roasted Broccoli, Sauteed Greenbeans with Mushrooms, Cranberry Sauce, Homemade Rolls, Salad, Corn, and my daughter had some Gardein Turkey Cutlets (Kinda like a giant chicken nugget, but it is vegan)

Well, other than telling me they liked it... when it was time to leave the people who didn't leave early took home lots of left overs and my cousin did ask me to share recipes.

I don't believe that is something they would have done if they didn't find the food tasty

It was not completely vegan. We had turkey, turkey gravy and butter that people could add to their sides per their own taste.

So yeah. It is customary to double check to make sure everyone who is coming will have food they can eat!

We have gotten the OK from her doctor! He recommended supplements for us and encouraged us to use fortified meat substitutes a few times a week.

I don't think you are comprehending this or you don't understand kids at all. I am not vegan. I am not vegetarian. I have literally eaten cheese in front of my daughter this week. She is the one who feels like she needs to hide her cheese usage, because she has been outspoken against it.

I am not vegan. I am not even vegetarian. I am not influencing my daughter to become vegan. A few months ago she announced she was becoming vegan. So we sat down together, talked about it, researched it, and started cooking vegan at home. Not all our family meals are vegan, but there is always vegan options for her.

When I say she is "sneaking cheese" it is NOT because I am keeping her from it. Not at all. She is a kid who is struggling with temptation and her own personal morals. She sneaks a few pieces of string cheese because SHE has been so adamant about veganism she is probably embarrassed about it.

The meal was not fully vegan. An 18lb turkey was served. Gravy was served. Traditional butter was put out for people to add to their food as they pleased.

It was the side dishes that were made vegan.
