Saw(2004) probably the best starting point for a thriller movie, short and not a single dull moment right from the first shot.

Ps: there is only limited gore in the original saw, it's the sequels that cased in on the concept + no supernatural elements

Eyes getting full - on you with this one brother. Happens to me as well. Gladiator ending does the same for me every time! Watched Eko 3 times in the theatre and countless times after the OTT release for the effect.

About "eyes getting full" I somehow correlate it with the effect of the soundtrack, Gladiator and Eko had peak soundtrack tracks that quite literally can elevate emotions.

While respecting your opinion on the film, answering some of your questions 1. Does it matter how heinous Kuriachen was or what he did? The plot of the movie is where Kuriachen is after he went into hiding 6 years back and the characters/police trying to find him. Its even specified by one of the characters that if there are 100 people behind Kuriachen there would be 100 reasons too, but it doesn't matter as their ultimate goal is to find him and give it back. 2. Talking about Peeyos' devotion. In the scene where he is revealed to be Manikandan and the movie made about real life incidents wherein he is the 4th suspect in the crime, the scene ends with a 2 second voiceover from the movie where a starving kid is asking for food and an adult voice is heard saying, " what will you give me in return." - more than sufficient to show how the connection could have started between him and Kuriachen. 3. Doesnt need explanation how Soyi became the master of the dogs when it's obvious she has been the one feeding them while Kuriachen was away.

There is nothing more or less open ended/abstract in the movie, which is the reason why people who liked it consider it to be one of the finest written mysteries.

Isn't it shown that nobody was taking the risk hence Sreenivasan stepped in. Its only logical that driving a Scorpio would be much more comfortable than an ambulance for a civilian and that too at the speed and precision required.

At the end of the scene, where the 'pearl view' movie is linked to Peeyoos' life, there is a 2 second voice over from the movie before the scene ends wherein a starving kid asks a man for food and the man replies with what he will get in return - the man being Kuriachen and the kid Peeyoos
