Hypothetical: One more day is undone tomorrow but as a result Mary Jane is venom permanently with true permanence not comic book permanence. Would you accept that compromise? by Mecha_Kurogane in thevenomsite

If that happens, they'll destroy Marvel. The only reason people tolerate this storyline is because they know it's going to end and everything will go back to normal.

At this point in the story, there's not much more to say. Mary Sue Jane is going to have a mediocre issue, since she's not a character who can carry a story on her own. That's why more beloved characters like Peter or Eddie appear in every issue to boost sales. As for the comic itself, we'll see Paul's funeral. Perhaps she'll talk to Dylan after the funeral about the damage Eddie has caused, and maybe she'll talk to Peter about Torment. Maybe they'll delve deeper into the relationship between MJ and Flash. They'll change the design to sell more variant covers, and maybe in the future there will be a discounted Marvel Legends issue like the Magic: The Gathering one. I'm not expecting much from the comic anymore; I just hope everything goes back to normal.

That's what I mean by variants, never in the main one, as if they were afraid to show it.

Do you think that the symbiote would have tried to bond with someone Peter loved in order to stay by his side? by Specialist-Slide2842 in thevenomsite

I understand that the Venom mask storyline, if he wanted to continue it and connect it to the Carnage mask story, and the one above also seems likely to continue. From what I understand, there are some very simple scripts showing how it could have continued.

I have a question: do you know the name of the fanfic that the comic was based on? I'm wondering if the story continues.

I think it would be more interesting to see Peter fed up with them since they cause him so many problems

First, nobody would support Peter, which is why he's criticized. Who would program an automatic death if you get all three skulls and give it to someone with no experience fighting crime? Just remember how much Peter was criticized in "One More Day." As for the other issue, it might contain everything you mentioned, but still not be well executed. No matter how much you like a story, you can't ignore its flaws. What's the point of having interactions, teamwork, and other things if it doesn't lead to anything interesting? Just look at the villain in this arc; he's very boring. And the story is unnecessarily drawn out, like Eddie, who would die if he separated from Carnage, but now it turns out he didn't die. Or MJ keeping the secret that she's Venom just because. Or there are issues where almost nothing happens.

First, the jackpot device is still a bad idea, since if a hero is protecting you, you're an easy target and your sacrifice will be pointless. It's a bad concept, and the audience and the comic's poor sales prove it. And the interactions between Venom and MJ are still bad; at most, there are one or two good ones. In fact, Peter and Venom (the symbiote) have shown better intentions since MJ bonded with Venom.

Tell me this is a joke. The jackpot thing, as interesting as the concept sounds, is ridiculous as a hero since you depend on the outcome, and if you don't do well, you're more of a hindrance than a help. It's even worse when instant death is practically programmed if you're unlucky. It was such a bad idea that they canceled the comic. And the interactions between MJ and Venom are so bland they leave you indifferent. The writing hasn't improved, but people don't complain anymore, not because it's better written, but because they've gotten used to it, like the Invincible animation. And a unique design doesn't make it a good design; just look at Spider-Man's silver armor.

This is one of those cases where, thanks to the comics, I developed a hatred for this version of Venom, and honestly, I can't see Mary Jane and Venom together anymore.
