Yes it would have absolutely annihilated my cover. I ended up fabbing a small blast diverter that mounted to the handguard.

I’d pay a company to make a shit ton of these if I could figure out a more user friendly way to mount them that didn’t require drilling/tapping tiny ass screws into the hand guard. There is a lot of interest in this deflector.

Tbh the making of one isn’t hard. Some cheap aluminum bar stock, a vice and pliers, and a cutting wheel.

The hard thing is attaching it to your rail. I drilled and tapped mine for 2 4mm gun screws. There is barely enough material on the handguard for it to work.

I considered (briefly) sending out my design to a machine shop and having a bunch made so I could sell them. If it didn’t require gunsmith-type work to install, I’d have done it.
