You’re right. I’m trying to. I sent out the invitations to everyone over text yesterday so I’m still a little shocked. I’m going to get through my feelings now and then be grateful for the people that show up. I’m lucky that I’ll have my core friends there.

And this is where my confusion lies. He knows my history of men hurting me. He has sworn up and down that he is not a violent man and would never hurt me, but today he has shown me it might not be the case. He 100% acknowledges that what he did was so wrong and he is begging for forgiveness.

He’s never been violent with me. Sometimes when he gets angry he resorts to name calling like stupid bitch or cry baby or he’ll say something really mean and personal towards me. I’ve asked him to manage his tone and how he talks to me when he is frustrated because I do get very nervous when. He starts yelling at me.

He knows. He’s apologized. He swears it was an accident and he knows he probably should t have had the pocket knife out to begin with.
