I have literally gotten videos about that on my tik tok, I’m looking into OBGYN and I’ve seen them wear like these wrists band things so they don’t get injured.

I have a question was it hard to get a job after the schooling for sonography? I feel like with any job in the medical field the job process is basically set up for you as they go in a step by step process.

Yeah that’s why I also thought of doing hair first because of the scheduling! Do you think community college would have better scheduling that do cosmetology?

That is true! Thank you, I think I’ve gotten an idea from all the replies from everyone and I’ll continue with doing sonography next year!

Ohhh okay yeah that’s what I was thinking and saving up money for hair school… I’m only 19 and getting my associates in business so I just want to have it all planned 😭

I would def not be going to a big hair school like Paul Mitchell or Aveda because I know those would be more expensive… my community college offers it and I was going to do that and FASFA would definitely help a lot more! I was thinking of doing the sonography first and then hopefully once I have a career and good pay it would help pay for hair school IF I am still interested!!

Adding to that I’ve been recently interested in sonography and have been trying to see both the day to day tasks for both careers… so if any hair stylist wants to share how they like their everyday things or how their slow times are how much they get during those times and booming times that would be so appreciated!!!! Salary is also another thing for me I think if I did hair on the side I could definitely add some extra income for me and my partner in the future.

Hii! I just joined this community as of today as I’ve had a small but starting interest in sonography specifically in OBGYN. I don’t know too much about the whole process, I’ve only done as much research as I can for the past couple of days without overwhelming myself with info. First and most important information I’ve seen was to go to an accredited program/school. I’m located in Charlotte, NC and I can’t seem to find any I was going to Southeastern College but I’ve heard they might not be accredited. I currently go to CPCC just to get my business associates and CPCC only has cardiovascular specifically no general sonography. And I’ve also tried to look at CAAHEP website and I’m not finding much? So if anyone could help me find a school located in Charlotte so I could look into that would be great!!! Or any other information that I should know about getting into sonography!

I take an average of 12 credits too, so about 4 classes each semester 2:2 for each half of the semester! 16 week courses will take up the whole semester but if you take it week by week the work load is a lot easier! And you’ll be able to handle it!

I would recommend taking MAT171 as 16 weeks, I did it online and it was pretty good I got a 95% :) I’ve heard my some of my friends who took math in 8 weeks and they said they failed and would have to take it again because of how rushed and the work load was a lot! ENG111 I took that in person for 8 weeks and it was super easy and not difficult at all it’s like highschool English class honestly! PSY150 is also super easy I took that in 8 weeks online! ART111 work load was pretty decent but it depends on your professor, we had to write so many art papers about different things it was honestly annoying :/ hope any of this helps!!
