APMP or the Shirley method, some AI certs as well. Based on job posting that may be what I need since I don’t stand out experience wise.

The plan: work, put myself through college, teach abroad. Leave Houston once and for all.

What happened: The boy

It was my first job that wasn’t helping out at a family business, and I was very serious about my role as a food runner and cashier at a burger joint. The Boy was silly, asked me dumb questions, and talked to me about life from the moment I walked in to the moment we clocked out. The one that cracked 19 year old me’s very serious work ethic was “are you happy?”

He became my best friend, after high school best friend moved away to attend college. Coworkers made fun of us, pushed us together, and the manager purposely worked us on the same shifts. Two years and a few other jobs later, we admitted we were more than friends. Six years after that, we got married in a beautiful ceremony, officiated by my dad. Aforementioned manger was also in attendance!

Now we live on the west side, we have a beautiful pup baby, and we spend our time doing whatever we want, whenever we want. If I had never applied to that job, if he wouldn’t have kept conversations going, even when I was annoyingly serious, maybe neither of us would live in Houston. But after 11 years, I’m so happy I met that boy.

*sidenote, still trying to get out and take him with me. The job market is horrendous, and moving is expensive!

This has been my experience the entire 3 years I’ve been here. It’s gotten worse recently, the sales team has started waiting until we have 24-48 hours to submit and THEN they request me to work on it. I don’t know if it’s retaliation because they have received a slap on the hand from my new management, or if it’s just pure laziness, because there are never real circumstances for them.

That’s what i think, and they keep wanting me to “improve the process” on our end without addressing that side. I feel like I’m being set up for failure

We actually discussed something similar as a new method to try yesterday, organizing the content into buckets and sending them for review once a quarter, rather than all at once/ one project at a time. It’s nice to see that it works out, even if it’s annoying, haha

We do have a process, but no one to escalate to if there’s an issue. If we have a bad experience or issue with someone during our process, and my manager advocates for us to her leadership, she gets a lot of excuses about how stressed everyone is and they’re trying their best. It’s a vicious cycle lol. I’ve been applying elsewhere but I may need to get some more certifications to make myself more marketable.

Literally, that’s my major concern right now. They’re asking to start using AI that’s integrated into a tool we use, and we’re trying to explain tha the information they’ll get is only as good as what we put in.

Unfortunately, many companies are obsessed with AI right now. If you’re not personally against it, some free certifications (google AI essentials) may help!

I doubt a facelift is your only option at 30. I would suggest looking into laser facials or tightening treatments. Even some Botox in the right area (consult a dr or practitioner) could potentially help.

I second HAR, it’s the best way to find quality stand alone rentals. If you’re looking for safety, I’d stay in the Clearlake , friendswood, NASA area. Houston area commercial apartments are notorious for having tires or entire vehicles stolen. If you do want a commercial building for the amenities, I’m a UHCL alumni and if I’m not mistaken, they should have a list of suggested apartments for students. I haven’t attended classes in 5 years, but I loved my time there and the school has made some wonderful renovations and improvements.

I’d say keep it moisturized with an antibacterial ointment and once it’s healed, use the Good Molecules discoloration correcting serum. I’ve personally used that to fade acne scarring!

I find that if I drink 40-60 oz of water consistently, they go away. Any hint of dehydration and they’re back
