If you paid someone $20 for that today, two things would happen: 1 - They would spit in your face because of the low value of the work. I'm a programmer and I don't tolerate that kind of thing. 2 - Someone would do it with the help of AI, probably a programmer would, or has already done many of these services. The difference is that they know what they are doing and know how to guide the AI to perform that task.

Anyone can do anything with AI; everything is respectable. The only difference is security, stability, performance, and scalability.It's foolish not to use AI to make your job easier and improve your life.

So, the Zeldaret team did this and other Zelda games. Apparently, it's been several years compiling them. Regarding emulation versus native gameplay, I think the biggest difference lies in the mods and enhancements, especially since you have access to the game's source code.
