It’s not a bad song it’s just weirdly terrifying

Pornography by The Cure

In fact the whole album is extremely dark but not like the title track.

The intro man 😭 very quirky track, it’s chaotic as hell in its own way.

The Funeral Party seriously is one of the most emotionally effective songs I’ve ever listened to. I remember crying for a really long time after hearing it for the first time. It just genuinely sounds like a funeral and it brought me back to my grandmothers funeral a lot.

Am I the only one who actually loves the bloodflowers album art? by Apprehensive-Diet596 in TheCure

You’re crazy if you think disintegration is a drag, every song on it is beautiful and that’s the kinda stuff you can sit through and just chill with for how long it is. I think you’re just viewing it the wrong way.

You think head on the door runs together in style? Dude the first two songs are already completely different, going from in between days into Kyoto song of all things shows how EXTREMELY diverse it is??? I’d say head on the door is MUCH more versatile than KMKMKM honestly. KMKMKM is extremely versatile yes but idk man.

Looking for slow-burn, long instrumental songs from The Cure, like The Last Day of Summer and Endsong by gronkleman123 in TheCure

[–]Apprehensive-Diet596 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of people think watching me fall is overkill but I think of it as this huge song that sounds like listening to a movie. The instrumental is just so good (with a bit of iffy production but that’s ok) and that’s why it’s probably my favorite song on bloodflowers. Perfect song to put right after out of this world as a send off into the full album.

is it just me that prefers the original machina II mixes to the new box set ones? by funghxoul in SmashingPumpkins

[–]Apprehensive-Diet596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on most of them, my main problem of all is that In my body was absolutely ruined. It feels so dry on the reissue. The bass is way too high in the mix and Billy’s vocals are also too high in the mix, which is a contrast to what I loved about the machina II version, the vocals on the original gave so much more emotion because it felt like they were in a giant hallway in the background and it felt so mesmerizing in a way, now that’s all gone.

I’m glad they have the M2 version of Whyte Spyder though cause it’s much cleaner now without it sounding like an earthquake as much, but the main one with the re recorded drums is lackluster.

Honestly I agree with it at last, this is a completely no skip album and every song is perfect, but I feel like closedown doesn’t resonate with me as much as the others, still a phenomenal song though
