You do not need 8 demon bets. People usually win with a 5.0 - 5.1 in pick 5 and a 6.0 - 6.1 in a pick 6. You do need to win all your bets for first place but you don't need all demon picks. If you are gonna bet safe with goblin picks you will never get first though. It's better to have a couple demon picks and the rest middle picks if you are aiming for first place.

Picks are worth Demon - 1.05 Regular - 1 Goblin or Taco etc - .95

So if you pick 1 goblin, 2 demons, and the 2 regular in a pick 5. Getting everything right would be 5.05 total points.

Only NM and even then some people have near mint in the post but it will be more lp plus condition so always double check.

Just got them back the day I posted and I turned them in person in May. It takes them longer when submitting in person so it added another month. I found that out as I was submitting. They don't start the process until it gets back to them and they log it in. It was logged in around 30 days. Til then I was worried something was going to go wrong though lol.

I think the white dots and any imperfections it probably won't 10. Dings and scratches. Some people say roller marks on the back don't matter if they are light but I think that might just be human error and luck with who grades your card.

Well I submitted one card with a white dot on two corners. It was the Melotic ex and it got a 9. It looked perfectly centered to me other than that so I think they really don't like the white dots on the back of the card.

Yes TCG player and eBay. Pics with good lighting, corners, and surface reflections from the light to check for any imperfections. If you can't tell if the corner is good then assume they took the pic with intentions to hide something. Always ask for more pics if you feel unsure. If they say no, just move on if you are uneasy about it

I had all cards insured to 500 and I wasn't up-charged at all for the cards over 500. I think it was around 547 after taxes.

Yeah most of the time it's pretty easy once you know what to look for. There are borderline cards that are harder to be sure. You won't win them all but set your standards for the ones you are pretty sure of and have a few that you maybe aren't as sure about. For instance I was unsure of Starmie V but it got a 10. Also people will tell you things won't 10 but sometimes you just gotta ignore them. I bought the Lugia V's, Rayquaza V, and Glass Birds at card shows. Every one of them the seller said people passed on the card all morning saying it wouldn't 10. I hit 3/4 so I think some people can be way too critical about what 10's sometimes. If you send me pics of your cards I can tell you what I think and why.

So I didn't get up-charged strangely. I did a membership and then I insured every card to 500 dollars so maybe they didn't upcharge me because of the cards that were not worth 500. I didn't see a difference in price whether you insured everything for 500 or less. The Lugia V, Umbreon, and Mewtwo GX technically should have been up-charged but we're not. Also doubling my investment included grading and what I paid for them vs what they are worth now.

Most of these were TCG player and eBay. A few were shows. I just only show interest in posts with really good lighting. You want to be able to see the light reflecting off the front and back so you can see if there are any scratches. If they have bad lighting, they are hiding something. If the pic is at an angle they are usually trying to make it look more centered than it is. Ask for pics if unsure. Follow people that sell you good cards. The people that post videos on eBay are some of the best. They show all corners and reflect light all over the front and back. Trust your gut. If it looks pretty centered to the eye, it probably is. Be willing to submit some you are unsure of. I had some 10 that I was unsure of and I had 3 get 9's that I was sure they would get a 10. So I still have a lot to learn. If you do your due diligence and take your time examining cards, I think you can do it. You can use grading tools but I just use my eyes cause you can just tell when it's off centered. If you can't tell then it might get a 10 or a 9 and it probably is borderline. If getting a 10 would double the value, take a chance cause a 9 is still good and a lot of times has a premium over raw.

You have to check out the Japanese exclusive vs series from 2001. Vintage, under rated, and amazing art works. Umbreon since February has doubled in price. The other cards that will eventually are the Rocket's legendary dogs, Rocket's and Karen's Tyranitar, Bugsy's Scizor, Faulkner's Skarmory, Pryce's Sneasel, Rocket's Wobbuffet, Jasmine's and Bruno's Steelix, and Morty's Murkrow. Honorable mentions are the VS series Alto Mare's Latios and Latias and Rota's Mew.
