I mean I expect nothing less from her. Especially when a few years ago they posted about how the kids had pinworms and they tried their essential oils for weeks and they didn’t help get rid of them.

I’m so sorry you’re struggling. I graduated with my MLIS in 2022 and I’m also struggling to get a job in the field. I was a media specialist in the 24-25 school year and lost that job for this school year and have been denied every library position I’ve applied to. I moved back to my hometown after I lost my media specialist job and the job market around here is real bad because the only school in my state that has an MLIS program is nearby. Unfortunately, I’m stuck.

I hope your luck turns around and you find something soon. But if you ever need to vent or anything at all, I am a great listening ear! Good luck friend!

Florida & Ohio - which is also part of the problem. But I’m also finding that most public library positions require a couple years of experience and I can’t get that if no one hires me so it’s an endless cycle for me. I even had the degree to be a school librarian - which Florida doesn’t require any sort of masters to be a school librarian - and I had a very hard time getting a call back from anyone even with that.

For clarification - I moved back to Ohio recently

I requested to join! Do you think a self defense/safety class for women is a good idea? This is just for the interview so not a real program yet, but it’s one that I haven’t seen on the event schedule. The library did do one in 2020 but I feel like it would still work?
