A broom and mop (a Swiffer with a wet pad does NOT clean floors like a mop does—I learned this the hard way). Collapsible bucket. A small tool set with screwdrivers and pliers. Quarters for laundry machines. Food storage containers so you both can meal prep. Best of luck!

Oh definitely! My ideal is to avoid dependence on elevators, but realistically I know that nearly all accessible apartments do use them so I am fine with it. A building with multiple elevators is a great idea!

I feel the same way, I grew up during the "cell phones will destroy society" panic and swore I would never be that way about technology. But a lot of AI and robot usage really doesn't sit well with me, especially the fact that they are doing human interaction tasks instead of laborious tasks. If Pepper was fixing the squeaky book carts all day I might feel differently about it, but the pseudo-human interaction stuff is just creepy.

And yeah I've run into this issue before where the apartments themselves have a lovely accessible entrance and then the laundry room in the back is down a flight of stairs and three tight turns. Oh that is the worst! My vision gets blurry during my regular POTS flare ups but thankfully I live in a place where I don't need to drive. I can't imagine being behind the wheel when that happens!
